Save Wells is a group of people from the area in and around the city of Wells, Somerset, England, who are concerned about the proposals by Centros Miller to develop part of the ancient medieval city into an American style 'Shopping Mall'.  You can read about our objections elsewhere on this website, but we are NOT opposed to appropriate development - only to the inappropriate plans put forward by Centros Miller, without any consultation by our own local Mendip District Council.

We do not represent anyone, but we are willing to act as a co-ordinating group for any individual, business, organisation, society or institution that objects to the current proposals.

We have two aims.

1.  We are committed to persuading Mendip District Councillors to vote against the current proposals, and
2.  To encourage wide consultation so that a brief for more appropriate development might be created.
